Alicia Griffiths Interiors is a full-service residential interior design studio serving San Diego and North County, including Encinitas, Carlsbad, Del Mar, Solana Beach, La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe. We guide homeowners through every stage of a project, from the first walkthrough to the final pillow placement, so the process feels as considered as the finished home.
What we design
Whole-home renovations and new builds. Design direction, finishes and furnishings that carry a cohesive feel from room to room.
Kitchen and bathroom remodels. Layouts, cabinetry design, tile, fixtures and lighting chosen to be both beautiful and hardworking.
Furnishing and styling. Furniture, lighting, art and décor for a newly purchased home or a room that's ready for a refresh.

Our style leans warm and organic: natural materials, layered textures, and a mix of vintage and modern pieces, shaped by years living in Europe and grounded in relaxed California living. Above all, every home should look like the people who live there.
Our Process

The ‘get to know’ you phase. Every project begins with a consultation. During this meeting we walk your home together, talk through how you live, what isn't working, and how you want the space to feel. Along the way, we'll share initial ideas and suggestions, so you leave with fresh perspective and practical direction whether or not you choose to move forward with us. For clients looking for more in-depth project support, we follow up after the meeting with a clear scope of work and an estimate based on it.
Once clients sign-on, our final onboarding step is a Project Kick-Off Meeting where we take detailed measurements, photography, inventory any existing items and capture any remaining detail we need to get to work for you!

We synthesize the above information into a visual concept which conveys the proposed design direction. This is reflected in a mixture of mood boards, material samples and design drawings (floor plans, elevations and renderings where relevant)

We take care of the leg work. Clients are often astounded at the abundance of options out there. With our trained eye, we whittle selections down to what we think will work best, giving you back precious time and alleviating second guessing. We know about materials and products, what will be most appropriate for the intended use, and have a shorthand for knowing the best places to shop for your particular aesthetic and price point.

Once the design is approved, we provide a detailed list of items and manage ordering, tracking and deliveries from start to finish.

For renovations, we work with your contractor early to confirm feasibility, then make regular site visits throughout construction to solve problems as they arise. We bring you solutions, not problems.

Once the dust settles and all items have arrived, we install furnishings and décor and add the finishing touches that make a house feel like home.
